Daejeon Highlights: Rock Climbing at the Youth We Can Center

My friend Abbie G and I collabed for a vlog showcasing the Youth We Can Center in Daejeon. If you’re into rock climbing—you’re in for a treat.

This gym is in Eunhangdong, the old downtown.

  • Address: (34630) 508, Daejeoncheondong-ro, Dong-gu, Daejeon

  • Phone number: 042-222-0924 ~ 5.

It’s best if you can speak a little Korean because you need to call to make an appointment!

When you arrive, you’ll get your temp checked and pay.

  • For those born in ‘95 or younger: 8,500 won (~$8)!

  • For those older: 12,000 won (~$11).

Super cheap, especially compared to some gyms back home.

You’ll go up to the 7th floor, show them your ticket and change shoes. You'll get roughly 30 mins on the free climb walls, where you can just boulder to your heart’s content. They have color-coded labels if you want to try their patterns, or you can just practice getting your grip.

After about 30-40 mins, it’s time for the big wall. They’ll harness you up and you have a choice of 4 different walls, all varying levels of difficulty.

Hope you enjoy and happy climbing!
