Exploring Singapore Vlog

I am back with my Singapore vlog, fresh off the presses and I think I would SCREAM if I had to sit and edit this thing any longer.

First off, I do apologize for the wonky lighting and shakey camera. I did my best to get good shots and my best to fix things in post but I think out of all my videos, you can tell in this one I was moving a lot and not stopping enough to record well.

But apologies aside, Singapore was my absolute favorite spot to visit out of our winter trip (and I'm not just saying that because of the BTS concert, although...that is a big part of it). The food was incredible--Old Airport Road Hawker Center was super close to our airbnb, and we ate there almost every day. I tried prawn laksa, chili crab, kaya toast, several curries, durian ice cream, carrot cake, the list goes on. We ate WELL.

The sights were also incredible. The merlion, Marina Bay Sands, the Gardens by the Bay were all gorgeous.

We were told Singapore is a city you can easily see in two days, and I'd agree. We had two full days to explore and one half day before we left for Thailand, and we got to see pretty much everything we wanted without feeling rushed.

But I think my favorite part of Singapore, and one I wasn't truly aware of before I went, was its incredible diversity and multiculturalism. We visited Little India, Arab Street, and Chinatown, visiting the Masjid Sultan, Sri Veeramakaliamman and Sri Mariamman Temples, and the Buddha Tooth Temple. We saw firsthand the mix of Indian, Chinese and Malay cultures in Singapore and...there's really no word but incredible. I know I keep saying it, but that's the word that comes to mind.

100000% recommend Singapore for your travels.
